Dog Licensing

A friendly reminder from the Town Clerk’s Office; all dogs must be licensed by April 30th pursuant to RSA 466:1 and 466:1-a.

Please remember your pet must have up to date rabies vaccination paperwork at the time of licensing. Failure to license your dog is a violation under the State’s laws and carries a $25.00 fine.

Fees:
Unaltered dogs $9.00
Neutered dogs $6.50
Senior Citizens (65 years of age) $2.00
Puppy (Up to Seven Months) $6.50
Group License (5 or More Dogs) $20.00
Commercial License $20.00
Mail-in Fee (Per Dog) $1.00

If you would like to license your dog through the mail, please send a copy of the rabies vaccination paperwork with a pre-addressed return envelope to Town of Canterbury, Town Clerk, PO Box 500, Canterbury, NH 03224.

The Town Clerk’s Office is open Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Residents with any question can call 783-0153 or email spapps@canterbury-nh.org.
