Description
The Planning Board is responsible for the Town's overall planning and future development. This includes approval of subdivision and site plans, as well as updating the Master Plan, land use regulations, and developing and maintaining the Capital Improvements Program (CIP).

All Planning Board meetings are open to the public. Meetings are held regularly on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month beginning at 7:00 PM or as posted and are held in the Meeting House. Meeting agendas and minutes are available on the Town website, Sam Lake House (Town Office), Elkins Library, and the Canterbury Country Store.

To contact the Planning Board, please email planningboard@canterbury-nh.org, or use the link above to email Secretary Lois Scribner. Alternatively, if you do not have access to email, you may call the Town Office at (603)783-9955 during office hours or come in person to see Mandy Irving, Planning Board Associate. Applications are typically received at the office. The Secretary and Associate work closely together to try to ensure applicants receive a response in a timely manner
